Community Engagement Session for Wagga Wagga 5MW Solar Farm

Risen Energy Australia held a community information session on 18th of January regarding the proposed small-scale solar farm development site is to be located within 59 Hillary Street, North Wagga Wagga in NSW. A large number of attendees participated and raised valid questions.

During the session, it was mentioned that the project would support approximately 20 local jobs during construction. Risen Energy Australia has completed a range of technical assessments including native vegetation and cultural heritage to design the small-scale project. Currently, preliminary drawings have been completed and connection studies have commenced. The land tenure has also been signed.

Construction is expected to commence within the 2nd half of 2022 if DA approval has been granted in the first part of 2022. The construction timeframe will be approximately 10 – 12 months (weather permitting & Covid related issues).

All questions raised by community members will be provided with written responses in due course. Risen is keen to work with the Wagga Wagga community to ensure successful construction of this project.

Good news for both Risen and the Waga Waga community during the community information session.
