For three consecutive years, Risen has been recognised as a “Top PV Brand in Australia” by the European authoritative research institute, EuPD Research.

EuPD gathers data from both installers and end-users to determine solar brands’ reputations in their local market.

So don’t just take our word for it; Risen panels have been endorsed by the people who really matter – our users.

In 2019, Risen was incorporated into the Silicon Module Super League (SMSL).

Members of the SMSL have consistently held the PV efficiency record and have set most benchmarks for all the manufacturers of PV modules in the industry.

To be considered high quality, a solar panel must tick several boxes. Here’s what you should look for.

Independent certification of the quality of a panel manufacturer is a must.

The most well known and trusted standards are the nationally and internationally recognised ISO standards.

The ISO 9000 family of standards certify the quality of manufacturing processes and products, among many other things. The ISO 14001 family certifies the quality of a company’s environmental management system while ISO 45001 certifies its health and safety system. If a panel brand has all three, that’s a big tick.

A supplier must also be member of the Clean Energy Council which holds its members to a set of standards pertaining to quality and service.

Risen is proudly certified to the ISO 9001 quality management standard, the ISO 14001 environmental management standard and the ISO 45001 health and safety management standard. We are also members of the Clean Energy Council.

Believe it or not, the hotter a panel gets (over 25 degrees C) the less power it produces!

This means, with long hot summers in many parts of the country, investing in panels with a high temperature tolerance will ensure you continue to maximise your power production.

Evaluating a panel’s temperature tolerance, known as its ‘coefficient temperature’, is a must. The closer a panel’s coefficient temperature is to zero, the better it performs in hot weather. The majority of panels have a coefficient between -0.2 and -0.5. With Risen panels’ coefficient sitting at -0.25, it makes our panels industry-leading in temperature tolerance!

Risen’s products are Certified PID-free, meaning that the panel is guaranteed to withstand the effects of corrosive elements like ammonia (NH3), hydrogen sulfide (HS) and sulfur dioxide (SO2) throughout its lifetime. This is particularly important in Australia where harsh weather conditions and dust can cause panel damage and power loss.

With excellent module efficiency, positive power tolerance and very low temperature coefficients, Risen panels achieved independent recognition from PVEL’s 2021 PV Module Reliability Scorecard which names manufacturers that achieved top-performing test results in PVEL’s Product Qualification Program.

Need more proof? Risen panels are used in Western Australia’s largest solar farm – the Merredin Solar Farm – which was recognised as the top performing PV asset for 2021, demonstrating the exemplary performance of our panels.

Our local team of 40+ employees is one of the largest local support teams in Australia for a solar panel supplier.

It means we provide a winning combination of resources, technical knowledge and local experience to offer our customers and installers the very best support possible.

Our panels come with an industry-leading 25 year manufacturer’s warranty and 25 year linear power guarantee.

Our manufacturer’s warranty assures panels will be free from defects, while our linear power guarantee ensures the panels will continue to have the capability to produce a specified percentage of power during the period.

Risen’s ongoing quest to improve manufacturing processes and supply chains, has seen the company focus on reducing the embodied energy of its panels.

In November 2021, it released a new solar panel with an alloy steel frame instead of the traditional aluminium. By using coated alloyed steel, Risen can produce modules using less energy due to the high energy consumption in the production of Aluminium. When panels reach end-of-life, our recycling programs ensure sustainable handling and processing of materials.

Additionally, Risen is taking steps to identify and understand the risks of modern slavery across its global operations and supply chains, and the company has committed to the continuous evaluation of its sustainability practices on a yearly basis.
