Wyalong Solar Farm

INTRODUCTION

The Wyalong Solar Farm is developed by Metlen and is located approximately 7.5 kilometers northeast of West Wyalong in New South Wales, Australia. The project reached financial close in December 2020, with Mytilineos SA acquiring the project. Construction was undertaken by METKA EGN, a subsidiary of Mytilineos, and the solar farm commenced operations in 2023.

The Wyalong Solar Farm has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for 62.8% of its production with NBN Co, an Australian Government Business Enterprise responsible for designing, building, and operating the broadband access network for Australia. This partnership underscores the project’s role in supporting essential infrastructure with renewable energy.
