We operate and maintain solar farms built by others. We cover equipment from any manufacturer, including modules, inverters, trackers and balance-of-plant equipment.

You need your plant safe, available and generating for your lenders and off-takers. Since 2019 our Australian O&M team has worked alongside the full set of people a solar farm depends on: engineers, project and construction managers, equipment suppliers and manufacturers, SCADA and control-room operators, energy market and forecasting specialists, and site contractors. That experience, and our own background as a Tier 1 module manufacturer, is what we bring to every decision about your plant.

How we work

From handover to daily operations.

    Review your plant and plan the handover

    We review your plant, records, warranties and unresolved faults. Then we agree on the handover, work and reporting with you.

  2. 02

    Run and maintain your plant

    We monitor your plant, respond to alarms and carry out planned maintenance, market work and reporting. Our engineers and site staff manage unplanned issues too.

  3. 03

    Support ongoing generation

    We manage your warranties and manufacturer relationships, and plan spare parts and upgrades. Your plant data informs the work needed to support generation over time.

Common O&M questions.

What does the O&M service cover?

Your service can cover plant monitoring, alarm and outage response, planned and corrective maintenance, spare parts, equipment records, health, safety and environmental work, market bidding, generation forecasts and performance reporting. We also coordinate with manufacturers and manage warranties.

Which solar farms does Risen operate and maintain?

We operate and maintain Yarranlea Solar Farm in Queensland (121 MW DC) and Merredin Solar Farm in Western Australia (132 MW DC). Risen built both farms. SUN Energy retained Risen as O&M provider after buying Merredin.

Can you take over a solar farm Risen didn’t build?

Yes. We welcome plants built by others. We can take over your operating solar farm from another provider or after commissioning. We review your plant, records and warranties, then agree on the work and reporting with you.

Does your solar farm need to use Risen equipment?

No. We cover equipment from any manufacturer, including modules, inverters, trackers, communications and electrical balance of plant. As a Tier 1 module manufacturer, we also understand the manufacturer’s side of warranty claims.

What do you need to prepare an O&M proposal?

Tell us your plant’s location, capacity, commissioning date and current O&M arrangement. We will confirm what else we need for your proposal.
